Bill is like that proposed by Raptakis, and enacted in 2007, to allow Coventry
School Committee to accept gifts to fund programs lost to budget cuts.

4-24-09 Raptakis bill to crack down on drunk drivers heads for vote.

Sponsored by Sen.  Raptakis, the bill would make it a felony, punishable by up
to three years in jail and a $3,000 fine, for someone with a revoked or suspended license to drive under the influence of illegal drugs or liquor.

nearly $3 million in the last 2 decades for art in public building. Raptakis
originally proposed the study in 2008.

Senators  Leonidas P. Raptakis, (D-Dist. 33, Coventry, Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich) and Leo Blais, (R-D. 21) Coventry, Foster, Scituate) introduced legislation that would make educational mandates unenforceable if they are not fully funded.

2-03-09 Raptakis proposes 5-year suspension of 'Caruolo' actions. Saying that the use of a “Caruolo action” by school committees “is simply giving them an out from living within their budget,”
